UrbanMount is built upon mutual trust and respect between Clients and Professionals. By using our Platform—whether you’re booking a service or offering one—you agree to abide by these Community Guidelines so that everyone can have a positive, safe, and productive experience.
Overview and Purpose
UrbanMount connects people who need help around the home or office with skilled individuals who can provide it. Our Platform fosters collaboration and communication, which depends on courtesy, honesty, and professionalism. We expect all users to treat each other fairly, uphold the law, and respect each other’s boundaries.
Respect and Professionalism
We encourage open dialogue and straightforward communication, but any form of discrimination, harassment, bullying, or hate speech is strictly prohibited. That includes racial slurs, derogatory remarks about someone’s gender or sexual orientation, and offensive jokes or images. Professionals should strive to deliver services as promised, while Clients should give clear instructions and feedback. If misunderstandings arise, we ask both parties to communicate calmly to find a solution before escalating the matter.
Honesty and Transparency
Complete and accurate information is fundamental to our community. Clients must provide truthful details when creating a service request, including the scope of work, accurate addresses, and relevant instructions. Likewise, Professionals must accurately represent their skills, qualifications, and availability. Posting or advertising misleading information about your experience, credentials, or pricing is not allowed. If your circumstances change, update your profile or booking request promptly.
Punctuality and Reliability
Building trust means showing up on time and keeping your commitments. Clients should be available at the scheduled appointment time, while Professionals are expected to arrive punctually with necessary tools or materials. If an emergency prevents you from honoring a booking, cancel or reschedule as soon as possible. Excessive late arrivals or repeated last-minute cancellations may affect your standing on UrbanMount. For further details, see our Refund & Cancellation Policy regarding fees and exceptions.
Health and Safety
Personal safety is paramount. Both Clients and Professionals should never engage in tasks that are hazardous, illegal, or fall outside the scope of the user’s expertise. If you’re unsure about a job’s safety, communicate concerns before proceeding. Keep in mind that personal protective equipment (PPE) is recommended whenever tasks involve physical labor or exposure to chemicals. You can learn more about best practices in our “How to Use UrbanMount Safely and Responsibly” article.
Reporting Violations
If you believe someone has violated these Community Guidelines or has acted in a way that jeopardizes safety or trust, please see our How to Report Misconduct or Violations article. We investigate each report and may take actions such as suspending or terminating an account.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
UrbanMount reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently deactivate any account that breaches these guidelines. We may also withhold payouts for unresolved disputes or suspected fraudulent activities, consistent with our Terms of Use.
Important: We understand that misunderstandings can happen. UrbanMount is dedicated to a fair resolution process, encouraging open communication first, followed by formal dispute resolution if necessary. Always remain respectful, even when you disagree.
