UrbanMount’s mission is to provide a beneficial marketplace that connects Clients and Professionals in a respectful environment. Our Acceptable Use Policy clarifies what is and isn’t allowed on the Platform. By accessing or using UrbanMount, you accept these rules as an integral part of our Terms of Use.
Purpose of the Policy
This policy ensures that all users abide by the law, respect each other’s rights, and help maintain a trustworthy community. It applies to every method of engagement with the Platform, including mobile apps, web interfaces, messaging systems, and user-generated content or profile information.
Prohibited Activities
UrbanMount forbids any use of the Platform that violates local, state, or federal laws. That includes services which require specialized licensing if you do not have it, or services that are otherwise dangerous or illicit. You may not upload malicious code, viruses, or scripts designed to disrupt, intercept, or damage the Platform or user devices. It is also unacceptable to knowingly misrepresent your identity, credentials, or location.
Respect for Rights and Privacy
Our community thrives on trust. You must not harass, defame, or discriminate against other users or third parties, nor publish private details without consent. If you gather personal data from other members (like addresses, phone numbers, or payment info), use it only for the purpose of completing or scheduling services. Selling or repurposing that data is a severe violation of our policy.
Commercial or Promotional Use
While we welcome the promotion of legitimate services relevant to the services or skill categories you’re offering, spamming, multi-level marketing campaigns, or posting irrelevant ads is not allowed. If you are found soliciting services or collecting leads in ways that circumvent UrbanMount’s listing or booking processes, your account may be suspended or terminated.
Honoring Payment and Fee Requirements
All transactions must occur through the official UrbanMount payment system. Attempting to bypass our system, encouraging off-platform payments, or falsifying invoices to evade fees undermines the marketplace’s integrity. Violations may lead to withheld payouts or permanent deactivation.
Limitations on Content Posting
When you post your service listing, reviews, or any textual or visual content, it must comply with intellectual property laws and not contain explicit, hateful, or misleading materials. Do not upload images or text you do not have permission to use. If you believe another user’s content infringes upon your intellectual property rights, see our Copyright Policy for instructions on filing a claim.
Consequences of Violations
If we detect any activity that breaches this Acceptable Use Policy, we may respond by removing or editing content, issuing warnings, temporarily or permanently suspending accounts, or, in severe cases, involving law enforcement. UrbanMount staff members have final discretion in determining if behavior or content is inappropriate or harmful, in alignment with our Terms of Use.
Note: Zero tolerance applies to fraudulent or malicious actions that compromise user safety or platform integrity. This includes impersonating others, orchestrating fake bookings, facilitating tasks that are illegal, or harassing users. We appreciate community reports to help keep UrbanMount safe.
