Important: UrbanMount does not warrant or represent that a Professional’s stated insurance remains valid, complete, or enforceable at any given time. While we make an effort to review uploaded documents, each Client should conduct their own assessment for peace of mind and rely on any personal insurance options for full coverage.
UrbanMount recognizes that many Professionals promote their services as “insured” or “licensed,” and we aim to provide Clients with some indication of each Professional’s credentials. However, UrbanMount cannot fully guarantee the authenticity or currency of every insurance policy or license. We perform a limited review of documentation but do not undertake an exhaustive verification of all details.
Purpose and Limited Verification
When a Professional claims to be insured, UrbanMount typically requests that they upload or submit proof—such as a certificate of insurance—through a secure platform. We may check if the document appears valid and unexpired at the time of submission, but we do not regularly re-check policies throughout their term, nor can we confirm how thoroughly an insurer covers a specific type of work. This limited process is intended to help Clients identify Professionals who may possess insurance, but it does not constitute a guarantee that coverage is active or sufficient for a given project.
Professional Responsibility
Ultimately, Professionals themselves are responsible for keeping their coverage current, renewing or replacing documents if they change providers, and ensuring that the type and level of coverage match the services they offer. If a policy lapses or is canceled early, UrbanMount may not be aware of it. Accordingly, any “insured” or “licensed” badges on a Professional’s profile might be outdated if the user fails to update their documentation.
Client Due Diligence
We encourage Clients to ask questions or request additional evidence when engaging a Professional for higher-risk or large-scale projects. Because UrbanMount’s verification is limited, Clients should check coverage details with the Professional or directly with the insurer for complete assurance. If significant property values or specialized work is involved, consider additional background checks or personal insurance to protect your interests.
