Overview
The product page placement introduces Urbanmount installation while a customer is viewing a product in your Shopify store. Depending on the product, selected variant, and customer location, the placement may show installation information and pricing.
Enabling the placement in the Partner Dashboard does not add it to your Shopify theme automatically. Add the Urbanmount block to every product template where it should appear, publish the intended theme, and verify that the Partner Dashboard record matches the live product before testing.
Who this applies to
This article applies to Partners who use the Urbanmount Shopify app and have permission to customize their Shopify Online Store theme. You will need access to Placements and Products in the Partner Dashboard, the published storefront, and the exact product and variant you plan to test.
Steps
In the Partner Dashboard, open Placements.
Enable Product page and open its setup guidance.
In Shopify Admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme you intend to publish and select Customize.
Use the template selector to open Products, then choose the template assigned to the product you want to test.
In the product information section, select Add block.
Under Apps, choose the Urbanmount product page block.
Move the block to a clear location near the product details or purchase controls.
Open Theme settings > App embeds. If the Urbanmount setup guidance requires the app embed, enable it.
Select Save.
Repeat these steps for any other product templates where you want installation to appear.
Publish the intended theme.
In the Partner Dashboard, open Products and find the same product using its title, Shopify product details, URL, or another available catalog detail.
Compare the product title, image, Shopify URL, and visible availability information with the live storefront.
Review the exact purchasable variants you intend to offer. Compare their option values and SKUs with Shopify so that you are testing the same selections in both places.
Use View in Store, when available, and confirm it opens the correct published product rather than an older, duplicate, or draft product.
On the published storefront, select each relevant variant and test with a valid five-digit customer ZIP. Use a private browser window if cached storefront content may be affecting the result.
What to expect
The placement responds to the variant currently selected on the product page. Installation may appear for one option and not another, so verifying the parent product alone is not enough. Confirm the exact variant, SKU, and option values shown in Shopify and the Partner Dashboard.
The product record can match correctly while installation remains unavailable for a customer location. A properly formatted ZIP also does not guarantee availability. Test the real customer ZIP on the published storefront.
Shopify themes use different product sections and custom layouts. Confirm that you edited the template assigned to the live product, saved the block, and published the intended theme. Theme-editor preview alone is not a complete storefront test.
