Overview
When you book custom offers through UrbanMount, you can choose between two payment methods. Each is designed to fit different preferences and budget considerations:
Upfront Payment: Pay the full amount as soon as you accept the offer.
Split Payment: Pay half upfront, then the remaining half after the job is completed.
Below is everything you need to know to select the option that suits you best.
1. Upfront Payment
How It Works
You’re charged the full cost of the custom offer immediately upon acceptance.
UrbanMount securely holds the funds until the Pro finishes the job.
Once the Pro marks the work as completed, the payout is released to them.
Why Choose Upfront Payment?
Less Post-Job Hassle: No additional charges to worry about once the project is done.
Transparency: You know exactly how much you’ll pay from the start.
Important Details
Refunds: If the job is canceled under valid circumstances, a refund may be issued according to UrbanMount’s policies.
2. Split Payment (50/50)
How It Works
50% of the total is charged when you accept the offer.
The remaining 50% is charged once the Pro marks the job as completed.
Failed Card Charges: If your card cannot be charged for the second payment, UrbanMount will continue to attempt the charge. However, if all attempts fail, the Pro may not receive the full payment.
Why Choose Split Payment?
Lower Upfront Cost: Helps manage your budget by paying only half at the outset.
More Flexibility: Spread out the financial impact, especially for larger or long-term projects.
Important Details
Keep Your Card Updated: If your card fails for the second payment, it’s your responsibility to update your payment method promptly to avoid complications.
Timeline: The second payment is processed as soon as the Pro indicates the work is completed.
Best Practices for Clients
Evaluate Your Budget: If you prefer not to pay the full amount at once, the 50/50 option may be ideal—just remember to keep a valid card on file.
Check Job Progress: Make sure you’re satisfied with the work before the Pro marks it as completed, since that triggers the final payment (for 50/50).
Contact Support: If you have issues with payments or if you foresee changes in your financial situation, reach out to UrbanMount Support.
FAQs (Clients)
Q: What happens if my card is declined for the second payment in the 50/50 option?
UrbanMount will try multiple times to process the payment. You’ll be notified to update your card details if necessary. Failure to update could lead to incomplete payment to the Pro.
Q: Can I change my payment method once the project has started?
In most cases, you cannot change the payment structure (from 50/50 to Upfront or vice versa) after you’ve accepted the offer. If there’s a special circumstance, contact Support.
Q: How secure are my payments?
UrbanMount uses secure, industry-standard payment gateways. Your card information is encrypted and safely stored.
